Our food pantry for veterans and their families operates  Tuesdays  and every 1st & 3rd Thursday (excluding holidays) from 9 a.m. to Noon

Located on the DAV lot at 1039 N. Paul Dr., Inverness, just west of US 41 on Independence Hwy.
We usually have a nice variety of dry, canned and frozen goods (cereals, rice, canned vegetables, soups and meats) for veterans and their dependents in need. Just drop by, fill out a basic information sheet for our records (we respect your privacy, of course), show your DD-214 and/or VA picture identification, and you're all set.
We understand how difficult it may be to ask for help, and the compassion and privacy you'll find with our volunteers will quickly put you at ease. We have all been in need ourselves, from time to time.
If you need food assistance, or if you know of a local veteran who does, don't be shy about it - please call Susan Turner at 352-637-6206, see a member at one of our meetings or ask any volunteer during Food Pantry hours
(Tuesdays, 9 a.m. - noon & first & third Thursdays, 9 a.m.-noon).

Our hearts are breaking!
For personal reasons, Susan Turner will be resigning her position as Food Pantry Chairperson as of September 30th, 2017.
There is no way that we as an organization or the veterans we serve can ever thank her properly.
She has been tireless in her attempt to ensure that our local veterans have sufficient and healthy food available to them. She linked us up to the Citrus County Food Bank, so that we are now able to offer meat products and other foods that would not have been able to do before. My God bless her in her future endeavors whatever they may be.
